Warranty

The product you have purchased comes with a limited warranty from Tide Craft Boats. The terms of the warranty are set forth in this section of the manual. The warranty statement contains a description of what is covered, what is not covered, and the duration of coverage. Please review this important information. The description and specifications contained herein were in effect at the time this manual was approved for printing. Tide Craft Boats, whose policy is one of continued improvement, reserve the right to discontinue models at any time, change specifications, designs, methods, or procedures without notice and without incurring obligation.

Record your HULL Identification Number (HIN)

This number is located on your transom on the identification plate. It will also be in your paperwork and on your Manufacturers Statement of Origin from Tide Craft Boats. You will need this information to have any service done or for insurance purposes in case of theft or accident. 

Record your Motor Serial Number

Tide Craft Boats will have registered your motor with the manufacturer with your name and information (purchaser info).

**Motor warranty is handled with the authorized dealer and through the motor manufacturer

Warranty to the original purchaser that any Tide Craft Boat or component shall be free of defects in workmanship and/or materials for a period of one (1) year after the date of the original retail purchase. In the event of such a defect, Tide Craft Boats will, at its option, repair or replace all the defective product or part thereof without charge (excluding shipping expenses) subject to the following terms:

Duration of Coverage:

  • The entire vessel is covered for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase.
  • Powder coating is warranteed for a period of one (1) year against manufacturing defects.
  • This warranty excludes damage due to misuse of the boat and chemical or mechanical shocks such as:
    • Collision, fire, theft, natural disaster
    • Alterations, modifications, and tampering
    • Environmental corrosion and damage from acid rain, fallout, pollution, tree sap, extreme weather, etc.

Exclusions:

  • Warranty does not include damage due to misuse, abuse, negligence, improper or inadequate storage, or transportation of any Tide Craft Boats which is used in a manner different to the directions or instructions in the owners manual.
  • The warranty does not cover:
  • Normal color fading or discoloration
  • Normal wear and tear, oxidation, abrasion, or mildew
  • Abrasions, tears or punctures
  • Damage from improper service or maintenance in accordence to owners manual
  • Damage caused by installation or use of an accessory or parts not manufactured by Tide Craft Boat
  • Routine maintenance items, adjustments, normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by alteration or removal or parts
  • Incorrect towing and/or lifting
  • Expenses related to hauling out, launch, towing, storage, loan payments, loss of time, loss of income, slip fees, insurance coverage or any other type of incidental or consequential damage
  • Shipping costs

Warranty shall be voided if the boat has been operated without proper inflation, or with an outboard motor which exceeds the maximum horsepower rating listed on the serial plate attached to the transom. 

Wear parts including but not limited to tubbing strake, keel guards and ropes are not covered by the warranty. 

Use of the product for non recreational use such as, racing, rental, commercial or other competitive activity voids the retail warranty.

 Transfer of Warranty

Transfer of unexpired warranty coverage can only be transferred to a subsequent purchaser upon proper registation through Tide Craft Boats by emailing sales@tidecraftboats.com within the first year of the boat purchase.

How to obtain warranty coverage

Routine and timely maintenance outlined in the owner’s manual must be performed in order to maintain warranty coverage. 

To obtain warranty coverage, claims shall be made by delivering the product to an agreed upon service provider. The purchaser must provide Tide Craft Boats with the boat or the claimed defective part with in 30 days of occurrence of the claimed defect. Purchaser must provide Tide Craft Boats with reasonable opportunity and access to the product for repair or service.

Our Obligation:

The sole obligation of Tide Craft Boats under this warranty is limited to, at its disgression:

  • Repairing a defective part
  • Replacing such part or parts with new or certified parts, or refunding the purchase price of the Tide Crafts Boats product
  • Manufacturers sole obligation against fabric delaminating under the pro-rated Tide Craft Boats Limited warranty is the replacement of the boat and/or tube at a pro-rated percentage
